We are Alex (1987) and Anna (1992). We are not only a couple, but also run a successful online marketing agency together. Because of our experiences with Spain, we want to move to Spain soon. During our search online, we discovered that information online is difficult to find and confusing. Why go to Spain?
But why did we ultimately choose Spain? Well, it's very simple. We have both been on family holidays in Spain since we were children. When we were old and wise enough to go on holiday ourselves, we quickly chose Spain. It is also because of this that we have a lot of knowledge about life in various regions in Spain. Of course, a holiday is different from real life, but with a little basic knowledge you can go a long way!
Moving from the Netherlands to Spain
When Anna was allowed to go abroad for her studies in 2014, the choice was quickly made. The city was also an easy choice. Both had been to Madrid several times (and together) and thought it was fantastic to be able to live there for a while. After living there for 1 year in 2014, we unfortunately had to go back to the Netherlands so that Anna could finish her studies. For Alex, the travel back and forth was easy, because Alex's work is all online. After Anna graduated, we moved back to Madrid for a period of 2 years. From 2016 to 2019 to be precise. In the end, we decided to go back to the Netherlands for a while to sell everything in the Netherlands and cancel it so that we could move to Madrid permanently after that. Spain can emigrate without having to leave anything behind in the Netherlands. Yes, except friends and family of course.
Planned down to the last detail with Moova
We are currently busy with our emigration to Spain and we want to have emigrated to Madrid by the end of next year. Of course, Corona has intervened, but this certainly does not stop us. One thing that has certainly made it easier for us is that we outsourced the move. This did not even cost us that much more than we thought and we no longer had to worry about peripheral matters, such as our belongings. Through Moova we requested multiple quotes from different moving companies and based on the costs and the services they could offer us, we made our choice and already planned a date! It is so nice not to have to think about this anymore. In addition to having our belongings packed here, we also chose to have our belongings unpacked there by the movers. This way, we (Anna) only have to look in Spain where the things should be placed after the moving boxes have been unpacked.
